Prior to forming ViewForward, Robert was a Director of Customer Leadership and a member of the Customer Leadership Team at Textron, the $13B, Fortune 500, parent company of Cessna Aircraft, Bell Helicopter, E-Z-GO golf cars, Greenlee hand tools, and many other well-known companies. In that internal consulting role he and the Customer Leadership Team spearheaded the transformation of Textron and all of its business units from product centricity to customer and market centricity. The transformation was in response to increasing customer and employee expectations as well as a dramatically more dynamic and competitive landscape.
His experience prior to Textron includes marketing leadership and management roles with some small, as well as some very large companies across multiple industries including Factory Automation, Test & Measurement, Aerospace & Defense, Process Control, and Semiconductor Capital Equipment. As a result of serving on the management team of a Test & Measurement Equipment company Robert knows from first-hand experience what it takes to profitably grow a medium-sized business. At the same time, his experience with larger companies like GE and Textron provides a wealth of knowledge about world-class business practices, particularly in the areas of customer leadership, marketing, sales, and business strategy. Robert holds an MBA from the University of Massachusetts, a BS in Mechanical Engineering, and a BS in Materials Engineering, both from the University of Connecticut.
